The EBBA2 coordination team will soon develop a request for a new data provision, in this case for standardised surveys. These data will allow generating the first pilot fine-grained maps for some breeding birds. Our Russian colleagues have delivered 258 one-hour censuses in advance.

Here is a nice example of the lists of breeding species reported in these timed visits. The list was recorded by Gennadiy Isakov in 39UUB2 (10×10 square no. 9) in 7 June 2014 in Tatarstan Republic (Russia).

It includes 43 breeding bird species: Ardea cinerea, Anas platyrhynchos, Milvus migrans, Haliaeetus albicilla, Crex crex, Haematopus ostralegus, Charadrius dubius, Tringa ochropus, Actitis hypoleucos, Columba palumbus, Cuculus canorus, Alcedo atthis, Merops apiaster, Jynx torquilla, Riparia riparia, Hirundo rustica, Motacilla alba, Luscinia luscinia, Luscinia svecica, Turdus merula, Turdus pilaris, Turdus philomelos, Turdus iliacus, Locustella fluviatilis, Acrocephalus dumetorum, Acrocephalus palustris, Hippolais icterina, Sylvia communis, Sylvia borin, Sylvia atricapilla, Phylloscopus trochiloides, Phylloscopus collybita, Phylloscopus trochilus, Muscicapa striata, Ficedula parva, Ficedula hypoleuca, Oriolus oriolus, Lanius collurio, Corvus cornix, Fringilla coelebs, Chloris chloris, Carpodacus erythrinus and Emberiza citrinella.
