Contributing with data

You can contribute with your data in your home country or in other European country. Any reliable information on presence of bird species in breeding period between 2013 to 2017, with atlas breeding codes is valuable. Each country has its specific methodology, based on the methodology of EBBA2 and we recommend that you should contact a national atlas coordinator for details and instructions. In case you want to contribute with your data from the other countries, particularly data from eastern and southeastern parts of Europe will be appreciated. Although we also recommend that you should contact a national coordinator in a particular country, general guidelines for foreign birdwatchers who want to contribute to EBBA2, are also available.

The EBBA2 grid 50×50 km for whole Europe as well as for individual countries is available at this link. EBBA2 also works with the grid 10×10 km. Individual countries can however in some cases use slightly different grids for national purposes. We therefore advice that you should contact national coordinators in case of a grid 10×10 or similar scale. The EBBA2 coordination team (Sergi Herrando will be happy to facilitate getting the grid whenever needed and possible.

The EBBA2 coordination team always prefers the way that the national coordinators receive data from countries and teritories they are responsible for. However, if there is a serious reason to deliver the data directly to the European coordinators, it is also possible. All the data, regardless of way of delivery, will be checked together by the European and national coordinators.
